Organisations are living systems, not machines. You can’t just bolt on a new process and expect everything to run smoother. Change only works when it’s real, local, and lived.
I believe good leadership starts with sense-making. Before you fix the work, you need to understand it. Before you scale a solution, you need to make sure it’s solving the right problem.
My work is about helping people reconnect with how things really work around them. what’s visible, what’s hidden, and where things break down. I lean on systems thinking, facilitation, and a lot of curiosity to bring clarity where there’s clutter.
It’s not about being right. It’s about building shared understanding so your team can move forward together. That’s what makes change stick and what makes it worth doing.
I’m Dennis, a coach, facilitator, and systems thinker. I’ve spent over a decade working with teams navigating growth, change, or the feeling of being stuck – teams that need more than just another framework.
I bring a background in Agile coaching, organisational design, and hands-on experience in how people actually collaborate, make decisions, and get work done. I’ve supported startups chasing focus, scaleups wrestling with complexity, and long-standing teams trying to reset and rebuild momentum.
Outside of work, I’m a former tea merchant, and you can still find me at various tea events around Europe. I run a Dungeons & Dragons group here in Rotterdam, enjoy sustainable architecture (e.g. passive house), and find joy in exploring and mapping how things connect. Whether it’s a project, a team, or a product backlog – it’s all systems to me.
What I offer isn’t a playbook. It’s grounded presence, clarity, and a practical mindset that helps your team move forward with purpose.
I value clarity, courage, and craft. Clarity to see what’s really going on. Courage to name the hard stuff. Craft to work through it with care and precision.
I bring structure without rigidity, curiosity without judgment, and enough experience to know when to push and when to pause.
Clients tell me I make things feel possible again. That’s the goal: less noise, more focus, and a path forward your team actually wants to walk.
I’ve worked with a range of organisations, from fintech scaleups and enterprise delivery teams to early-stage startups, mostly in the UK and now in the Netherlands.
I’ve worked alongside a lot of smart, diverse teams: engineering groups trying to improve flow, product leaders searching for clarity, marketers working cross-functionally, and operations folks juggling multiple priorities. Some were stuck. Some were scaling. All of them were doing their best in messy, real-world contexts.
The job titles varied. Sometimes I was a delivery coach. Other times, a retro facilitator, product sounding board, or team guide. But the pattern was usually the same: smart people in complex systems looking for focus, traction, and a way forward that sticks.
I’m not here to name-drop. If you’re wondering whether I’ve worked on something like your situation, just ask—I’ll share what’s relevant.
When we work together, expect clear communication, consistent check-ins, and practical support. I’m structured but flexible, providing clarity without rigidity. You can count on transparent interactions, actionable insights, and regular opportunities to adjust and reflect.
I prioritise responsiveness and clarity, ensuring you always know what’s happening next and why.
While I’m the primary nerd behind Nordisk.coach, I don’t do everything alone. I collaborate with a small group of trusted professionals whose work helps me deliver with care, depth, and focus. Depending on the engagement, you might meet one of the folks below.
My sherpa to the netherlands
Abigail helps keep everything people-facing sharp. She knows the Dutch training and education world inside out, and she’s the reason logistics, outreach, and follow-up don’t fall through the cracks. Abigail brings both warmth and rigour to the way we take care of clients, and I feel lucky to have her in my corner.
My Master of the Machines
Laurens is the technical backbone behind a lot of what I do. He handles the heavy lifting, from infrastructure and hosting to CRM automation. He’s also a professional photographer with a sharp eye, and someone I regularly nerd out with. I get to focus on content and clients because I know Laurens has the rest handled.
My Scaler of the Gezellig (hygge)
Jam is who I call when things scale up and I want to make sure the experience still feels like “me” but bigger. They’ve got deep roots in cultural programming and event production, and they help ensure the energy, quality, and rhythm stay intact, especially when more hands are needed on deck.
My nerd & me ?
I’m the one sketching diagrams, asking inconvenient questions, and trying to make sense of complex work with calm structure and a bit of curiosity. I rely on myself to hold the space, spot patterns, and keep things moving when others feel stuck. (I also bring the tea and host games).
These are people I’ve worked with closely and trust deeply. We share values around clarity, care, and practical change.
And if your project calls for some extra heavy lifting, whether that’s AI, automation, devops, or design, I’ve got a strong network of specialists I can call on. People who are sharp, collaborative, and care about outcomes. No hidden bench. No agency front. Just good people doing good work, brought in with intent.
You’ll always know who’s involved, why they’re there, and what they bring to the table.
If we work together, expect a calm, structured presence, not noise or chaos. I’ll help you make sense of what’s really going on, ask sharper questions, and give your team the tools to move forward with confidence.
I don’t come in with a script. Every engagement is shaped around your context, your people, and what actually needs to happen next. Whether we’re tackling strategy, team dynamics, or the way work flows through your organisation, the goal is the same: less friction, more focus, and real progress.
